Ashton and I had so much fun at Town Square that we decided to take Aaron back a few days later. The first store stop we made was at the Guitar Center. They were nice enough to let Ashton play on the electric drums and he thought was the coolest thing ever. I'm pretty sure there is music flowing in this little boys genes! Next the boys played in the park for a while and then we took Ashton shopping for some new summer clothes. He is growing so fast, I feel like I'm constantly buying the next size. We had fun walking around all the shops and then finished the day at my favorite restaurant Islands. I took some fun pictures of Ashton and Aaron playing. Ashton is loving having his daddy home and has so much fun with him the days he isn't working. It was our first time going to Town Square and I would recommend that anyone visiting should definitely go. I know we will be back there lots!

Town Square
This past week was spring break here in Vegas, so I have had to come up with ways to entertain Ashton on his week off of school. Thanks to Facebook, I was able to reconnect with my friend Jessica which I have known since Middle School. We both live here in Vegas and finally made plans to meet up. We live on opposite sides of town so we met at Town Square downtown. We both had our kids so we ate lunch and took the kids to the park. It was so much fun to see her and catch up. Now that we have found each other, I hope we can plan lots more play dates. Thanks for a great afternoon Jess!

Recipes
It has been a long time since I have posted anything about recipes and cooking. This is partly because Aaron was gone for while and so I wasn't trying new dishes. My friend Becca has these wonderful recipe exchanges that I love going to. These recipes are from the exchange we had in February, the theme was Salad. They were all fantastic! I also included my food calendar for the month. With Aaron home again, it is back to cooking fun stuff most nights and trying new recipes. I also attended a recipe exchange for March, but haven't received those recipes yet. As soon as I do I will post them because of course they are all yummy. Hope you enjoy!

Taryn's Clogging Competition
This past weekend my little sister Taryn had a clogging competition in St. George, Utah. Since Vegas is so close, my parents and sister stayed with us and then Ashton and I got to go with them to St. George to watch her compete. I LOVE going to Taryn's dance stuff and it gets me excited to have a little girl. I hope she likes dancing like me and her auntie. She was in three dances and they took 1st, 2nd, and third. This means that the get to compete at Nationals, which will be in Salt Lake. Depending on when that trip is, I am hoping we can go and watch her then too. Ashton actually LOVES watching the dances. He likes the music and all the moves. He even knows when to clap and sits in his own chair like a big boy. I told him to get used to it because we might be doing it a lot :). It was really fun to drive around St. George and see how much the city has changed. We went and saw the lakes and checked out a few new communities. It was even more fun just being able to spend the weekend with my parents and little sister. We can't wait for our trip to see them next week. Thanks for staying with us guys, we LOVED it! Way to go Taryn for making it to Nationals.

Ashton's School Easter Party
Since this week is Spring Break, Ashton class celebrate Easter on the last day of school last week. We went to a park near by so the kids to do an Easter Egg hunt and play some games. They were all so adorable and had so much fun together. Mrs. Moore does such a good job with all their crafts and activities. Ashton just adores her and loves his class. The Easter party was fun and I know all the kids had a blast. The kids even made their own Easter Baskets. They got to paint and glue on bunnies and Mrs. Moore then filled it with goodies. What a great way to start off spring vacation and celebrate Easter!
I included a little video clip of a game they played. They were suppose to roll the egg with their nose through the cones. It was so funny and cute to watch them try.
Sewing Projects for Kaylynn
About a month ago, I ordered a custom new car seat cover for Kaylynn. I bought my own fabric, sent it to the girl, and then just paid a flat fee for her to sew it for me. I just got it back last week and got the car seat washed and ready to go. It turned out so cute and it's one of a kind. She did a wonderful job and I am so happy with it. If your looking for a custom car seat go to esty and search for Sassy Stork.
This past weekend, my mom sister and dad all came to visit. Of course my mom and I had to sew while she was here. She was able to stipple Kaylynn's heart quilt that I had made last month. She did a fantastic job and I was glad that I was able to watch her do it so that I can start learning how to do this technique myself. It was also fun to get her wall hanging hung and see how everything in her room is coming together. The quilt turned out so adorable! My mom was also able to finish Kaylynn's crib pillow while she was here. My sister embroidered the pillow and my mom did the rest from scraps from her crib set. Such an adorable pillow, everything she does is perfect and fantastic. I am so blessed to have such a talented Mom to learn from.

32 Weeks and Counting
Today I had my 32 week check up. Kaylynn's heart beat was strong and I am doing great. It's almost time to start counting down. I can't believe there are only 8 weeks left. Now if I just not gain the last 8 weeks worth of weight I would be excited! I know that's not going to happen, but it's always comforting to know that Kaylynn is doing well. So far I have gained 29 pounds. I'm not sharing this number because it's great, I'm just recording it so I can remember and compare on the next one. Kaylynn is moving all the time and it feels like she is kicking me most of the day and even through the night. She is going to be an active and healthy little girl. We can't wait till she arrives.
Kaylynn's First Baby Shower
This past weekend, Pilar and Krystle threw me my first baby shower for little Kaylynn. They did such a wonderful job and it was such a nice shower. She had an arrangement of gourmet popcorn, fabulous sugar cookies, fruit bouquets, and little treats. I'm pretty sure I gained 5 pounds just eating all of the delicious goodies. I got lots of adorable outfits, booties and hats, blankets, diapers, and all the bath goodies that I needed. It was so nice to visit with everyone and I had such a great time. Thank you to everyone who came and for all the wonderful presents. A special thanks to Pilar for hosting the event at her house and Krystle for helping her. Thanks everyone, it was a wonderful shower!
*I'm only posting a few pictures, to see the rest you will have to wait and see my scrapbook :)
