32 Weeks and Counting
Today I had my 32 week check up. Kaylynn's heart beat was strong and I am doing great. It's almost time to start counting down. I can't believe there are only 8 weeks left. Now if I just not gain the last 8 weeks worth of weight I would be excited! I know that's not going to happen, but it's always comforting to know that Kaylynn is doing well. So far I have gained 29 pounds. I'm not sharing this number because it's great, I'm just recording it so I can remember and compare on the next one. Kaylynn is moving all the time and it feels like she is kicking me most of the day and even through the night. She is going to be an active and healthy little girl. We can't wait till she arrives.
Kaylynn's First Baby Shower
This past weekend, Pilar and Krystle threw me my first baby shower for little Kaylynn. They did such a wonderful job and it was such a nice shower. She had an arrangement of gourmet popcorn, fabulous sugar cookies, fruit bouquets, and little treats. I'm pretty sure I gained 5 pounds just eating all of the delicious goodies. I got lots of adorable outfits, booties and hats, blankets, diapers, and all the bath goodies that I needed. It was so nice to visit with everyone and I had such a great time. Thank you to everyone who came and for all the wonderful presents. A special thanks to Pilar for hosting the event at her house and Krystle for helping her. Thanks everyone, it was a wonderful shower!
*I'm only posting a few pictures, to see the rest you will have to wait and see my scrapbook :)
Painting Upstairs
Well as soon as Aaron had a day off, we were back to painting. This time we decided to paint the office/loft and hallway upstairs. One would think he would want to relax, but he wants to get the painting done as soon as possible. Since we already had all the supplies, it was easy to get started. One of the reasons I was excited for this area is because I have never organized my office since we moved in. It was the last room to get unpacked and I just threw things in cabinets thinking I would organize it later. Well, here was my chance. It took us all day to paint, clean up, and then to reorganize the office as we put everything back. It was a really long day, but I am so happy now that it's done. I actually know where everything is and I even have a designated sewing/craft cabinet. The paint color is the same as we used in the living room and dining room. It's really hard to see it in pictures, but it makes a huge difference when you are actually in the house. I guess everyone will have to come and see it for themselves! :)
