Tommy's Wedding

As everyone knows by now, Tommy was married this last August to Caitlyn. Aaron was able to take a few days off of work and so we headed to California for their reception. The reception was at my mom's house and we were happy to help set up and get everything ready. It was absolutely beautiful and a wonderful evening. I love seeing everyone and having a reason to get dressed up. It was a quick and busy trip, but really fun. I'm very happy for Tommy and wish them the best in their new marriage.

Vicky's Visit

Ok I know I have been talking about July for forever now, but it was a super busy month, which I realize has just been my life now that there are more of us. But, I have finally made it and this is my final July post.

We were lucky enough to have Aaron's mom come and visit us for a few days. Ashton LOVES it when grandma comes to play. Grandma always comes bearing gifts and Ashton loved getting more cars. He got so many cars we had to go buy another car container and the hot wheels city to go along with them. Of course she brought presents for all of us, but watching Ashton open his things is the best part. We truly appreciate all the many wonderful things that mom brings/sends us.

Although her trip went by very fast, we were able to do lots of fun things. The first day we went down to Town Square. Ashton loves going there because there is an awesome park in the middle of all the shops. He and Vicky played, while I fed Kaylynn, and then we went shopping and bought some clothes for the kids. The next day we went up to the mountains to hike around. We packed a picnic lunch and had fun escaping the heat and spending time outside. The last day we went to church, then to lunch, and then to the airport.
It was a really fun weekend and I'm glad that she was able to come down and spend time with the kids. I know Ashton loved having someone to play with all the time and I enjoyed the help. We love her very much and was glad that she could make the long trip down to spend time with us.

Happy Anniversary

This past July 31st, Aaron and I celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary. Can I just say that I can't believe that it has already been five years. Aaron was really sweet and snuck out in the middle of the night to buy me flowers. He ended up arranging the flowers himself and I thought they were beautiful. It was such a wonderful surprise to wake up and have flowers waiting for me on the kitchen counter. We spent the day running around with the kids and that evening Aaron and I were able to go on our first date since we had Kaylynn. Krystal and Dan watched the kids for us and we knew that they were in good hands. We went to this wonderful Italian restaurant in the Bellagio. It was the best Italian food I have ever had. After dinner we were off to the show. We went to see Phantom of the Opera. This has always been one of my favorite plays and was so excited to see it again. It was a phenomenal show and a must see for anyone visiting Vegas. It was a wonderful night and it was fun to spend time together. May each year get better than the one before. Thanks for a wonderful night honey, love you!

Professional Pictures

When Kaylynn was nine weeks old, I decided I wanted to have professional pictures done. She was so beautiful in her blessing dress, I wanted nice pictures to hang on the wall. So of course I picked a time I thought would work with her nap and I had planned on mostly taking pictures of Kaylynn, get a few of Ashton, and a few of them together. That morning, she didn't get her usual nap and I knew it was going to be an interesting photo shoot. Kaylynn is always so smiley and happy I thought even without a nap, we would get lots of wonderful pictures.

When we got there, I had to change Kaylynn into her outfit so the photographer wanted to start with Ashton. To my suprise, he was the perfect little model. He was so cute and would actually hold the poses until the pictures were taken. Every single picture was perfect and I couldn't help but just smile at him and be proud. Kaylynn was not as smiley as normal, but she still took beautiful pictures. I thought all their pictures turned out beautiful and it was so fun to watch the both of them. These are just some of the pictures we took. I love my little munchkins and think they are just so beautiful and handsome!

Luke's Birthday

This past July, we celebrated Luke's 3rd Birthday. Luke is Ashton's best friend and he always LOVES spending time with him. His party was at the YMCA and it was a Toy Story swim party. A few weeks before his birthday we took the boys to see Toy Story 3 together. They were so cute sitting in their chairs watching the movie. Since then, they both have been obsessed with Toy Story. I had never seen so many Toy Story toys than at Luke's party. I think he almost got one of everything. To this day every time we are at the YMCA and walk by the party room, Ashton calls it Luke's Birthday Party room. The kids played and then we got to swim. We all had so much fun and were so glad we could celebrate his birthday with him. We love you Lukey!
